What customers say?

“ Very tasty! Shared a plate of the goat roti and fried plantains- plenty of food for two people. If you’re in the neighborhood, you should stop by! ”

“ Great food, excellent service, awesome ambiance! Glad I visited here, the food was delicious and tasty, nicely paired with a glass of red. I ordered chicken with rice cooked with coconut and blackeyed peas. Came with string beans, cucumber and tomato. Very delicious! Location is good but google map is a bit confused, so i tried to edit the location to put the correct entrance. Enjoy, you wont be disappointed. ”

- Andy Sram -

“ This food was outstanding. I highly recommend the chicken soup (Saoto) as well as the chicken roti. We had a beef dish with coconut, though I’m unsure of the name - this was also amazing. Definitely worth checking out if you’re on the island for a few days. ”

- Nick Brehany -

“ If you like a bit of uniqueness I’d recommend giving this a try. Due to the blend of culture mixed of Suriname - their cuisine has influences from multiples sources. We came here as a family and tried multiple different types of food. Everyone was satisfied with their dishes and was commenting on how good it was. ”

“ The beef rendang and the roti chicken are excellent. The samosa and other snacks are wonderful too. Call in advance to order else there’ll be a wait. Friendly folks and great food. ”

- Vijay Murali -

“ Quiet place, at least during the day when we ate there, but the food I must say is one of the best things I tried in a restaurant in a good while!! Very interesting and well balanced dishes I am surely a fan of Surinamese cuisine from now on! They tell you its made with "love", but i couldn't find that ingredient in any of the supermarkets there, so I guess i will have to return some day to have some more ”

- Octav Teculescu -

“ I arrived at 4:00 when they opened. There was already a small line of customers. The woman at the bar/counter was extremely helpful with my to-go order. I’m from the US and not too familar with Surinam food. I can say the Roti chicken and chicken Surinam with fried rice was excellent!!! If I ever make it back, I will absolutely put this on my must-do list. ”

- Kristie Michael -

“ What a great dinner! It’s just off the main area in town, and a really cool space. The service and food were awesome. We had never had food from Surinam - but we all loved it (kids included) ”
